In all german spoken countries it was considered that informatics should be integrated into other subjects in secondary school. At least this project fails, school students coming to university don't have enough knowledge about informatics they only learned how to use computers. Now in Switzerland informatics should become an own subject at school to provide theories, concepts and formal methods for problem solving. The EELab is engaged in this process and our projects and research focus on three main topics:
- Designing a continuing education course for recent informatic teachers to update their knowledge
- Developing and evaluating e-learning moduls for a blended learning curriculum
- Doing research concerning didactics and methods to motivate students in school for informatics
