Student Volunteers | Doctoral Symposium

RE'06 is an excellent opportunity for students to meet experts in the field of Requirements Engineering, both from academia and industry, and for networking with other students.

Student Volunteers

We strongly encourage students not just to register for RE'06, but to become involved in the RE conference Student Volunteer program. Our student volunteers are vital to the smooth operation and continued success of the RE conference each year.

Student volunteers typically assist with sessions, panels and posters, check badges at doors, help operate the registration desk, help with traffic flow, and provide general assistance to keep the conference running smoothly.

Student volunteers are expected to be present during the entire week of September 11-15, 2006 and to work about 12-16 hours during this week. Some student volunteers will also be needed in the afternoon of Sunday, September 10 for preparation work. The workload is only indicative, as it depends on a number of factors.

Benefits: Free conference registration, free admission to tutorials, and a copy of the conference proceedings. While free admission to these events includes lunches and the welcome reception, the banquet is not included.

To apply, fill out the application form and send it by e-mail to Erik Van Wyk, the Student Volunteers Chair, at evw@cs.umn.edu.

Application due date: June 15, 2006.

Notifications of Acceptance will be sent out by the end of June.
