Welcome Reception
On the evening of Monday, September 22 we would like to welcome you to Zurich, so at 18:30, you are invited to come to the Fraumünster Church, where we will be given an introduction to the famous glass paintings by Marc Chagall and attend an organ recital. After this cultural introduction, there will be a reception in the Guildhall "Zunfthaus zur Schmiden", Marktgasse 20, where the Mayor of Zurich will welcome the delegates. The Fraumünster Church is situated on the left bank of the Limmat River at the Münsterhof in the Old Town, and can easily be reached by public transport (Tram stop "Paradeplatz"). For your convenience, find an overview map of the Old Town here, or view a detailed city map (510 K) here.
Swiss Evening and Conference Dinner
For the conference dinner on Wednesday, September 24 we have chosen a traditional location, namely the "Schützenhaus Albisgütli", which was a shooting gallery in former times. Today its banqueting hall, with original wood finishing in the style of the old city of Zurich, is an ideal setting for a Swiss evening. We will try to give you a small impression of traditional Swiss food, music and arts. You will be entertained with yodeling and Alphorn-blowing, and even the famous William Tell will be there and the brave among you can try the historic cross-bow shot. We look forward to seeing you at the Swiss Evening. You can reach the Albisgütli easily by tram. Just take line 13 to its terminal station, Albisgütli.
