Arriving by Air:
By Car/Bus:
Information on how Holiday Inn and Hilton Garden Inn guests can find the buses:
The bus will circle from the Georgia Center, to the Hilton Garden Inn,
to the Holiday Inn continuously during it's 2 hour runs.
Participants may meet the bus near the main entrance of each hotel. A
sign (ISWC 2006) will be in the window of the bus at all times.
Information on departure location from GA Center to Atlanta Airport:
The bus will stop on Carlton Street directly in front of the Georgia
Center Hotel entrance. As the bus cannot fit through the
drive-through circle,
guests should walk out to Carlton Street to board the bus.
Guest Parking
During your visit, parking will be available in the South Campus Parking Deck, located just north of the Georgia Center. Current rates are $.50 for the first 30 minutes, $2 for the first hour, $2 for each additional hour, and a maximum of $8 for each 24-hour period parked.
Vans and other vehicles over seven feet tall cannot fit in the parking deck.
If you have lodging at the Georgia Center you will want to unload your car at the front circle of the Center (Carlton Street), then park in the parking deck. Assistance with your belongings will be provided if needed. Your automobile may remain at this location while you register at the hotel desk but should be moved promptly to the parking deck after check in. A daily flat-rate parking charge can be added to your room bill, if you wish, and you will be given a parking pay voucher to use in the automated pay machine in the parking deck. This pay voucher will allow you in and out access for the duration of your visit.
The South Campus Parking Deck is operated by the University of Georgia and is not governed by the Georgia Center. The parking deck is open 24 hours.

Other details on getting from Atlanta to Athens
One option is always car-rental.
Another option is to take a bus (Greyhound) but would not recommend it due to its limited schedule (one per day) and you would have to catch the MARTA metro to the Greyhound station.
If you cannot catch the ISWC bus, then the
AAA-shuttle that goes to Athens would be your most convenient option, just make sure you catch it on time, otherwise you might have to wait 2 hours for the next one.
Btw, sometimes local taxis/vans at the airport get three or four people that don't want to wait that long and take them to Athens.
However, this might be a bad choice as sometimes the driver drops one or two passengers in the Atlanta area on his/her way to Athens, resulting in a trip that takes a long-long time to Athens.
