Bethlehem is conveniently located near many major U.S. cities: only an hour drive from Philadelphia, 1.5 hours from New York City, 3.5 hours from Washington, D.C., and 5 hours from Boston. This makes it possible for travelers to plan easy visits to major tourist attractions before or after the conference.

The Travel Information page contains information on how to get Bethlehem.  Most travelers will probably find Newark Liberty International (EWR) to be the most convenient airport, although Philadelphia International (PHL) can be a good alternative. To facilitate getting Bethlehem, we will make arrangements with a transfer service (to be announced soon), but the page also provides information on public transportation alternatives. Some domestic travelers may find convenient flights into Lehigh Valley International (ABE), which will put them within 10 miles of their hotels. We urge international traveller to check the Visa Restrictions for entry into the U.S., and if necessary to apply for a visa as soon as possible.

Two related events are occuring before ISWC. The 8th International Conference on Knowledge Capture (K-CAP 2015) will be held just before ISWC in Palisades, NY from Oct. 7 to Oct. 10. It is only a two hour drive from Palisades to Bethlehem, and since K-CAP will close immediately after lunch on Saturday, there is plenty of time for ISWC attendees to go to K-CAP first, drive to Bethlehem, check into their hotel, eat dinner, and then catch a show before the first day of workshops and tutorials on Sunday, Oct. 11. Even closer is the 12th OWL: Experiences and Directions Workshop (OWLED) which will take place on Lehigh's campus on Oct. 9 and 10.

Please see the menu to the right (or below, if your screen size is too small) for information on various aspects of attending the conference.
