We have prepared five sightseeing tours that can be booked together with the conference registration. Prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF) per person.

 Lake Zurich
(CHF 18, Tuesday evening, Sept. 23, 1997)

Enjoy an evening round trip on Lake Zurich with a special 'Fondue boat' with traditional Swiss Fondue and live music. Order your own Swiss Cheese Fondue or another typical Swiss dinner à la carte in the boat's restaurant.

The trip starts at 20:00 and ends at about 22.15 from/at Zurich Bürkliplatz. Meals and beverages are not included in the fare.


 

Zurich City Tour
(CHF 29, daily available)

Discover Zurich, from the Old Town, commercial and shopping center, to the lake. View the Chagall windows at the Fraumünster Church and see the historical guildhouses on the banks of River Limmat, the residential area high above the city, and the university district.

Sightseeing tour by coach, 2 hours, starts at 14:00.


 

Lucerne
(CHF 45, daily available)

Discover central Switzerland and historical Lucerne, one of the most picturesque cities in Switzerland. On a brief city tour, you will see the main sights, such as the Chapel Bridge, the Old Town with the Musegg Towers, the baroque Jesuit Church and the Lions Monument. During a stay of approximately 4 hours, you have enough time to enjoy Lucerne on your own.

Tour starts at 12:30, ends at 19:15.


 

Swiss Alps
(CHF 77, daily available)

Welcome to one of Switzerland's most magnificent alpine regions, the Bernese Oberland. Spend time on your own in Interlaken, then continue by bus to Grindelwald, a typical glacier-village at the foot of the mighty Mt. Eiger. There is enough time to explore this region on your own. An optional cableway ride to the sunny terrace of Mt. First with a magnificent panoramic view is recommended. After a stop in Brienz, where you can visit a wood carving work shop, you will return to Zurich.

Tour starts at 7:30 a.m., ends at about 21:00.


 

Top of Europe
(CHF 195, daily available)

A visit of the Jungfraujoch, situated in the very heart of the magnificent mountain world of the Bernese Oberland is a highlight of every visit to Switzerland. Stop in Interlaken and Lauterbrunnen, where you board the mountain train to Jungfraujoch (3454 m / 11333 ft.), the highest railway station of Europe. Visit the Ice Palace and see Switzerland's largest glacier, the Aletsch Glacier. Drive to Brienz and visit a typical woodcarving work shop before returning to Zurich.

Tour starts at 7:30 a.m., ends about 20:30.
