ISWC2004 Paper Submission

• paper titles, authors, abstracts, and keywords are due by April 30, 2004
• full papers are due by April 30, 2004

Format and length of submissions:

• The only formats allowed for submission are PostScript or PDF (Adobe's Portable Document Format). These are widely supported and well-known standards: papers will not be accepted in any other format (e.g., MS Word) because of compatibility problems between software versions, machines, and nationalities.
• Note that the electronic submission site is likely to be very busy around the paper submission deadline. You are strongly urged to submit you abstract and your paper as far in advance of the deadline as possible.
• Submitted papers must be formatted in the style of the Springer publications format for Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS).
• Papers must be no longer than 15 pages, including figures and references, when formatted using the style files provided. Over length papers will be rejected without reviewing.
• ISWC2004 will not accept any paper which, at the time of submission, is under review for or has already been published or accepted for publication in a journal or another conference.
• Authors of accepted papers will be required to markup the abstract of their submission (help will be provided for this task) for the (Semantic) Web. Details will be provided on the web page.

To submit a paper to the Research Track:

1. Visit the paper submission site ( http://bilbo.ics.forth.gr/index.php?conf=75-NSKL-046a362d ) for registering your paper info and abstract and for uploading your paper. You must first specify your desired login and password as well as your name, address, e-mail, etc. Press "Register".
2. The next screen will ask you to type in your Confirmation Key. This you will find in an e-mail system that you will receive upon registering. After typing in the confirmation key, press "Confirm".
3. Select "New Submission" if you want to supply your paper title, authors and abstract or "Submission in Progress " if you are an already registered contact author returning to proceed with the full paper submission.
   
4. Fill in the paper title; select from the list of Topics provided and specify additional keywords if necessary; fill in the paper abstract; tick the checkbox if you or one of your co-authors is a member of the conference Program Committee and select the name of the PC member from the list of names provided.
5. The next screen asks for Author Information. Press "Add Author" for entering the paper authors. Please note that the contact person needs to enter their name again. When done specifying the authors, press "Finish Abstract Submission". The next screen provides the registered information about your paper and a confirmation e-mail message will be sent.
6. After submitting the abstract, your submission is considered an ongoing submission. When you return to upload your full paper, select "Submission in Progress" followed by "Full Paper Submission". You can also edit the registered information if changes are required.
   
7. "Full Paper Submission" permits the uploading of full papers. Press "Browse" to select the file to upload and then press "Upload File". A confirmation screen will appear and an e-mail will be sent.
8. Note to PC members: registered PC members that intend to submit paper(s) and be the contact authors need to register like every contact author.
