Students Track

The aim of the track is to open up students the opportunity to actively participate in the International Conference on Wirtschaftsinformatik. It is aimed at students at the Masters level, who are interested in either an IT-related position in the industry or doing a PhD in the field of Information Systems.

The track will offer a platform for students, academics and practitioners to meet each other and get to know about the subject area of discourse more intensely. The program will be complemented by visits to companies in the Zurich region, which also offer room for personal talks with managers.

Students from all countries doing Information Systems are invited to submit high quality project works. Also, students who do not submit their own papers are welcome to attend the talks and participate in the complementary programs organized by the track.

Topics

The track is open to different topics in the field of Information Systems. Papers that deal with the design and use of information and communication systems in organizations from different perspectives are most welcome. The track will take the individual topic orientations of students into consideration and will be open for different areas.

All topics in Information Systems such as Business Process Management, Business Engineering, Business Transformation and Business Intelligence are welcome. Possible application areas include, among others, eBusiness, eBanking, eLearning, eGovernment and eHealth. Submissions can be of conceptual, empirical or design-oriented nature.

Students either present work-in-progress, or completed paper work skills, which are available when filing for no longer than ten months ago. Students are recommended to submit their work together with their supervisors. In this case, students are supposed to be first authors of their work. Group work of other students are possible.

All papers will be evaluated in the normal review process of the conference. Students receive a differentiated feedback from at least two independent reviewers of the program committee. Accepted papers for the paper sessions conference will be published in the proceedings of the conference. Accepted papers for the poster session will be presented in the poster session, which will be open to all conference participants. Papers in the poster session will not be published in the proceedings of the conference.
